There is only one original.
The rest are just re-bodies.

Re-bodies.  :smilielol:
They are, but they are still damned fine bodies. ;)

Right you are, but this is the internet, where everyone owns numbers matching, concourse level Hemi 4 speed Mopars while being married to Playboy playmates or elite supermodels, so yes....there will be harsh criticism...

Dreamcar

Catherine's body was natural, Jessica's was the result of hardcore diet and exercise. April shouldn't count as a Daisy Duke imo.

I vote for Catherine with Jessica a close second.

1969 Charger, 383, Q5/V1W, A35, H51, N88,  numbers match (under restoration)

Irish Charger

To be fair, I think they all looked great. But Catherine has my vote.  ;D

Ghoste

She's killing the other two.

X2!!!

The original will always be the original just like the cars.

It is rare that a follow up trumps the original.  I'm not a fan of trying to redo the past. But those that make films will wring out every last bit they can.

To make an update they should use the 4 door car and use the kids from the original players or move on to something new.

I agree.  Time to pass the torch and move on to more adventures, not redo what has already been done.  But, I wouldn't use the 4 door.  Just admit the General needs some loving, and rebuild him.

As much as it pains me to say this, the 4dr is the only car with the "Charger" name that it makes any sense for the Dukes to use in 2014.

The idea of using a presentable-looking 1969 Charger as a cheap raggedy beater to bash up at the local dirt track & run from the cops . . . it's preposterous today.

Even "Fast & Furious" doesn't try to pretend the 1970 car is a cheap throwaway.

"Transformers" was pretending it was plausible for giant alien robots to be battling for control of the planet, but the producers refused GM's suggestion of using a '69 Camaro for the cheap used car lot version.

Ghoste

Maybe a nice Shelby one and Megan Fox could be Daisy.

No....Simply...No. Name it something else, or it'll be considered like the 4dr "Charger" today. A sad copy of the original without even paying any kinda homage to the original, just pimpin out the name for a few million bucks. The DOH deserves better.

So, you wouldn't like some of the original cast come on for one last hurrah, and pass the torch down to their offspring?  Maybe bring in some of the modern day issues and reinstate some of the old morals that have been mostly forgotten on primetime tv?  I will state that I'm fine with the General staying grounded.

Ghoste

Hmm, thats an interesting idea too Stroker.
