Don't know what's more ridiculous; the state of his car, his asking price, or his grammar.

RECHRGD

For $17,500 you would think he could take all the crap off the car, so you could see it....

MrSnicks

He's working on it.  See the cut gladiator wall panels under the driver's side door?

Working hard to put things up on the wall where they belong and off the car.

Tan......you da man.    :yesnod:

I like the way that you take the time to capture photos for the future.     :2thumbs:

Maybe the stuff comes with the car. :nana:
Who in their right mind would say

"The science should not stand in the way of this."?

Science is just observation and hypothesis.  Policy stands in the way.........

Or maybe it protects us.

I suppose it depends on the specific case.....

JB400

So....Does he have enough stuff or too much?

Lord Warlock

Can't understand why anyone would advertise it with all the junk sitting on it like that, even if he did have junk on it while stored, i can't believe anyone would expect decent money for a car that shows its been neglected and ignored.  I have a few things laying on top of mine but can easily move it all off and get the junk out of the inside before i take pics for an advertisement.

It reminds me of a for sale truck I used to pass on the way to work.
Week 1. truck was clean, sitting on freshly cut lawn.
Week 2. truck had light coat of dust, grass cut but not trimmed.
Week 3. truck dirty by lawnmower, weeds starting to grow around truck.
Week 4. truck dirty, for sale sign laying in yard, weeds climbing around truck because owner just mowe's around it.
Week 5. More of the same, but now a few bags of trash in back of truck.
Week 6. More trash in bed of truck,
Week 7. Bed full of trash, now bags of trash in cab of truck.
Week 8. Bed for of trash, Cab full of trash, For sale sign back on front windshield.
Week 9. Limb from tree falls on truck, Cracked windshield and minor damage to roof of cab.
Week 10.  Truck gone. Don't know what happened to it.

Might be one of those deals where maybe the significant other wants it gone, so maybe he just slapped it in an ad, so he could say, I dunno honey, I put it up for sale, but no one is interested... :shruggy:

I'd say this is plausible... considering he doesn't bother to actually 'sell' the reader on what they're getting.    No details about the 440, the state of the interior, the options or completeness of the car.   He just says 'here's the car, here's the motor, here's a high price'.   If the body were as straight as he's claiming (you can see by some rust spots that it's likely NOT that great) then he'd be gushing about it.

So I agree, he's half-assing the ad, probably because he's not serious.    My wife supports my love of old cars, so long as I use it to keep her beetle running and keep junk off the lawn :)

I would say thats rare now a days based on the wife can find out for what price he is asking for.  Im sure he was just lazy and im 90% sure of that...when people want to sell something they usually dont want to invest any more time into it than they have to.  its a laxy way of selling hence thats why they are not salesmen...

I know too many people who this has happened to to call it rare.   Also, if a woman wants to invest weeks combing through online ads, all she's gonna get is overpriced junk, so if anything it'll back up his claim.

For $17,500 you would think he could take all the crap off the car, so you could see it....

And take it for a test drive...
