My front side marker/blinker bulbs have been blown for ages and its time to fix. went to remove and they seem stuck. everything looks very old and original (rubber boot still on back). I don't wanna break anything! is there a trick to getting them loose???? there are two other hex headed knobs on back of light assembly...

Here's the charger after magnum 500s added and rallyes/raised white letter combo sold off. yeah yeah 70's shouldn't have redlines..guess what? I don't care  :icon_smile_big:  ;)

The sockets are crimped on to the reflector/back IIRC. I do believe that you need to remove the acorn nuts, remove the back, and remove the lenses to replace the bulbs.

Soak socket of bulb with PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench, keep it soaking a few days if you can. No need to remove housing just remove lens. Push in and wiggle bulb back and forth, these tend to crud up with corrosion over the years. Brass bulb base, potmetal casting with pressed on steel bulb socket add lead soldered button, copper wire with a steel spring and you have a recipe for dissimilar metals corrosion. Be prepared to wrap some Emory Paper around a pencil to clean the socket for good contact.  :2thumbs:

Can you remove just the lense, I thought the screws were on the back side of the housing.   :shruggy:
