That a nice looking truck. Is that the Laramie trim package?

its a SLT/TRX4, nice truck, wish it had the nicer hood, and dual exhaust, but...was a bargoon!

Ghoste

Nice.  You'll be making good use of the 4 wheel drive now up in your area I imagine.

Ya know, I got rid of my old one in my pic....never thought I would miss it....until I figured out that I became one of those guys(that used to drive me nuts) that said, hey man, can I borrow your truck....over and over again...

and yes, snowy days, just became easy again to deal with...

I have spent the last several days searching all of the Dodge dealerships and private party ads
for a truck similar to the one in the above listing. Very few and far between in the NorCal area
including Sacramento.

This truck has most of what I'd like except power bucket seats - this one has a front bench with the folding down
console thingy. It has the 4.7 V8 instead of the Hemi and is a CrewCab instead of a ClubCab (or whatever the more roomy cab is called). I'm not towing anything nor do I need 4wd so the 4.7 is probably sufficient.

Part of me says wait several more days to see what might come on the market, the other part says buy this truck now.
This is the best time of year to buy so I'm on the edge.

Thats a nice truck, I like the simpler ones myself (should have kept my old one)... that one is two years newer, less miles, I got mine for just over 21k, which is a good deal here, and still has warranty to boot.

If you saw the dodge dealership here, there's a couple dozen trucks, a shitload of minivans, a couple of 200s/300s I think, couple of darts....no chargers, no challengers....never seen a challenger for sale here. Finding used ones is tricky as well, the trade ins get shipped to Toronto, when over 60000kms....so slim pickins....was happy to find this one

They did offer me 9000 bucks for my 2011 Kia Forte 5, but I paid 23 for it,  it has everything, has 28000 kms, about 17400 miles, so I kept it...I still have warranty on that thing for a few more years.

Probably end up giving it to my daughter, when she figures out how to drive a 6 sp standard...

You guys in the States have it made for buying cars...

It's hard to find a truck to buy. All I see around here are four wheel drive limousines with beds that wouldn't fill out a wheelbarrow chassis.

WANT TO BUY:
Looking for a CD by  'The Sub-Mersians'  entitled "Raw Love Songs From My Garage To Your Bedroom"

Also, any of the various surf-revival compilation albums this band has contributed to.

I've been saying that for years.  Trying one of them down under. It'll send you broke.  :eek2:

Nice truck Ram.  :2thumbs:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

I grabbed my check book and rolled to the dealership to buy the truck today. A couple miles from the house I turned around and came home.

I just decided not to settle. I want a Hemi truck, roomier 4dr cab and nicer interior. I'll bide my time

and spring like an aging chubby ninja when the right truck comes along.

Nice looking truck Ram, what the service package like with it or do you do your own servicing?
You'd feel pretty confident driving that around during the winter months.

Tom, you guys sure have it good for options, out here if we import a truck it has to be converted to r.h.d , it can add 25k to the cost, a mate of mine recently brought a new F150 from Texas and its on the road after recompliance. The only exception for conversion is of the truck is over 20 years old. A guy I know just brought in two 03 dodge pickups to sell but he'll be lucky to break even at best after freight, duty and compliance.

I'm still shopping. There's a '14 Ram 1500 Hemi QuadCab 2wd at the same dealership I may test drive tomorrow.
I saw a '14 Chrysler 300 today as well as a '14 Chevrolet Impala LT2 both of which I want to drive.
I'm actually beginning to be honest with myself. I don't really need a 4wd here or even a truck for that matter. It would be easier for me getting into/out of a full size sedan with my back issue.........I think.

There was a time not long ago that I did service my vehicles. For many there comes a time when it just makes sense to have a trusted shop do the work for you. Spinal surgery makes that occasion arrive quite briskly.

Australia is a huge country.....a continent, one would think it would be a prime market for any automobile manufacturer. If a company's product meets the Australian government's safety/emissions standards they should be readily available and in the correct driver configuration. Same same for New Zealand et al countries.
The culprit must be the cost-benefit equation.
