Brake distribution blocks, use old or get new? Also, anyone got a diagram?

Do distribution blocks wear out? Today i removed the two blocks from under the master cylinder, had to cut most of the brake lines as they were pretty much stuck so bad that I couldn't budge them while it was attached to the car.   I have all new lines so didn't really care about ruining the originals, got the block mounted in a vise and finally got all the lines out of the blocks, in the process of cleaning them off now as they look pretty grungy, but can tell they are brass blocks.  Do i need to buy replacement blocks, or will the originals work ok once cleaned up?

Also,  I meant to diagram which lines went where before i cut off the tubes,  but forgot to.  The main block has 2 openings in the rear, one of which runs to the rear drums through the 2nd distribution block, I believe the other rear facing opening is where the right side front disc line fastens, the front edge has 2 openings facing the front, and in the middle position is the brake sensor connector.  One of these should go to the front left wheel, and the other should go to the master cylinder.  The one on the top I believe runs to the master cylinder as well.

Does someone have a diagram, or a link to a diagram that shows which lines go where?  want to make sure i have them mounted correctly before bolting back to the frame.

Good question, I can't be much help though, my car only has a single distribution block so it is probably different.  :popcrn:

You have disc brakes up front and drums in the rear?  Out of the three blocks, two are distribution while the smallest is a combo valve.  They are not real expensive and they do wear out so my suggestion is to buy all new.

they clean up fairly nice, no corrosion, guess brass was a good choice.  Don't see any blockages.  Still not sure which connections go where.  I know the top connection went to the master cylinder, as well as one of the front facing holes, not sure which goes to the front brake or back brake chamber of the Master.  Guess i'll have to go to the brake line thread i opened and see if i can figure it out by squinting at the pics.  Buying new would cost a hundred bucks, hate to spend just to have something shiny that can't even be seen.

May hate it, but did it anyway, brakes are important and i've already spent $$$ on all the new lines anyway, just sent a new order from inlinetube for the distribution blocks, the line between the two blocks, and the rear hose and tee on the rear 8 3/4 axle.

Got the new distribution blocks in the mail today, both the blocks for the engine bay look correct.  Just have to swap the bracket on the hold off valve.  The black plastic piece around the brake light sensor had broken off part of the original, so got a new one.  Looks just like the original, so looking forward to getting it on the car.  Also got the missing line that goes between the two blocks.

Yeah, i'm good,  got all new distribution blocks and valves, front and rear.  Should be easier getting to the rear brake line tomorrow when i finish cutting out the trunk floor center.  Still have to mount the distribution blocks up front, got the line from passenger side front in, and two lines from master cylinder connected on top, still have to run the rest.  Need to get the calipers loaded with pads and on the rotors so i can hook up the hoses and lines up front, Glad to see the lines going in finally.  Means progress is being made.
