I like them all.

On the "Go" wing.....I slightly prefer the 70-early 71 style to the 71 style.

I think the Go wing looks really good on some cars (GTX, Bee, E-Body) and ok on a 70 Charger.....I think they are better suited to a '71 Charger. That proto looks nice.

I like them all the prototype wing was used on the Hurst 300.  I would love to have one of those C bodies.

Me too - That would be an awesome cruiser... :2thumbs:

I'm a big fan of the prototype wing.  I would put one on if they were reproducing them.

Go Wings are hideous on Chargers

I like the prototype one much better than the production one.

moparguy01

gotta bring this back up. Does anybody know anything else about that prototype wing? It looks like its bolted to the side uprights like a daytona wing is, but then that trunk lid would be inoperable? Anybody have any insight on this one?

if your gonna have a wing you have to have a clothes line. Daytona all the way

JMO.....Chargers are so good looking......you need something very subtle [think the first gen had a small lip one available]

Or something outrageous ......like a Daytona wing. Go big, or forget it.  :D

I'd rather have a wing instead of the luggage rack on the boot that mine was built with  :brickwall:

Ghoste

By the look of the decklid trim and taillights, I'd say that was a clay styling mockup so decklid opening was not a consideration at that point.  The side uprights appear to have some gradients marking the angle of attack for the wing so maybe they had it setup that way just to find exactly which angle looked the best?

greymag

I would run a go-wing if I can figure out how to cut it down to a height similar to GTO Judge

Ghoste

And looking at the color photos of it, I'd say that the uprights on the deck lid are the only thing supporting the wing and the sections out over the 1/4 panel move up with the wing when the decklid is opened.  They must somehow just brace aginst the upper panel to set the wing angle and that is all.

Can't stand the luggage rack either. My red 70 is coded for a rack but I have it on another deckild. No go wing for me either.

You know, I kind of like the rack.  I would never have ordered one new and I wouldn't seek out a car specifically to get one with it.  I probably wouldn't add one to a car if I happened across a cheap one but for sure if I bought a car that came with it I'd leave it on there.

Daytona wing for myself seeing as I have one in the garage  :icon_smile_big: but that 71 prototype wing is pretty cool, I have never seen it before!?
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.
