Hello everyone,

I'm new to the scene. I just purchased a 06 Charger R/T with the police package.

Do to my new location for work I will be doing a lot of highway commuting of roughly 2.5 hours at a time.

I am looking to upgrade to HID but that as I was doing more reading I see that it is not recommended for high beams as they take some time to heat up.

I will be commuting at nigh frequently and live in an area highly populated by moose so the HID's will provide much needed coverage.

I started thinking and then saw that it has been done. If my low beams stay on with my high beams it would eliminate the unsafe transition period and provide better coverage. I'm not concerned if my fog lights stay on at the same time as I'm sure with low/high on at the same time I will have plenty of coverage. I have read that a dealer can do this with starscan but I'm not sure how easily I will be able to get them to do this.

Your thoughts? Is this a good idea and can I get it to work relatively easily?

Thanks,

Mike
