RIDELIKEHELL

First off painted it a newer Dodge Viper Silver, got rid of the K frame and power steering for an IFS from Control Freak(used on modern Mr Norm Cars) and a Flaming River rack and pinion set up. Added disc brakes up front(rears some time down the road along with a rear sway bar) Added Head Rests and Silver pleats to my original seat frames from Legendary. Rolls on 18 " BOSS 338 Grey Spoke rims with low profile tires , lowered front and back 2 " for the look i wanted. During build added XV Motorsports sub frame connectors & inner fender support brackets.

I don't remember ever making a car-related decision based strictly on what everybody else does. IOW, "makes sense" over "everybody does it".

I agree, but there are things we may not have thought about doing had not many others done them before us.

I just don't want anything R/T on my car even though it has a 440 under the hood.

That's one thing that annoys me a little. More of a peev I guess. If you have a base model just put the pennant emblems on it. For a while I wanted to put the R/T stripes on my 68 but now I just don't want to. I think they would look great but it looks great without it too so there's no point in doing it.

One thing I don't have most folks have is RWL tires facing out. I didn't do it to be different though.... I have never liked white letters.

Camaro spoiler,, because I liked it,, and it hides the front suspension/k-frame

I also added the 69 Camaro front spoiler.

For me, I don't do things to emulate others. I often am reticent to join in with others and follow popular trends until I feel that they have merit. In 2003 when I finished the "restoration", some guys were running 18 and 20" wheels. I did go with 18s but my intention was to have wide & low profile tires while maintaining a close to stock ride height. Other "Blinged-out" cars with 20s have tires too short to give any decent straight line traction or a good ride.
I kept a fairly stock appearing interior because I felt Dodge did it right in December 1969.
I'll admit that if there is any one trend that I followed, it was regarding the 440. I bought a 4.15 stroke rotating assembly to increase the cubes to 493.

I'm like many here that tend to shy away from what everyone else is doing.  My first new car was an orange 69 bee and that cured me of being stand out. That car (and my driving) got me way too much attention. I spent more money on traffic tickets and the related costs than I spent on the car.

I'm one of those that prefer my C500 over the daytona for that reason.

I did a lot of the usual things with 15 x 8 & 15 x 10 500's and a few wirings mods, the latest thing I did was make a nee stereo, since I didn't want to cut the dash up for tunes

Me, what I did was be a radical. I own a Road Runner and then hang out at the Charger forum.

I added a Pontiac front spoiler, not a Camaro.  :D

If I hadn't seen pics and or vid clips this Hemi powered travesty on a Dodge Charger forum I'd just shake my head and reach for another beer. But I have , and so I will anyway  :icon_smile_big:
