Well spent the last 3 hours trying to swap out the glass in my 69. Should have done it before the paint. Sweating bullies trying not to scratch anything. Freakin wing glass is impossible to get back in. Think I'll be calling a glass guy tomorrow. I'm fealing a little defeated right now. Here's a link to photobucket pics of my car. http://s984.photobucket.com/user/Billylehmann/library/?sort=3&postlogin=true&page=1

Take it easy, you've come so far. It's not easy fitting glass on your own. Some things just need to be left to the professionals, that's all.   :2thumbs:

Step away from it for a while, then tackle it again.  You'll get it.  You've gotten this far with it.  :pity: Looks good.   :2thumbs:

Sleep easy, let the professionals tackle that.

Charger looks great!  :2thumbs:
Installed our rear glass a month ago, but the first time the glass guy came by we realized the opening wasn't big enough from previous body work done.... :brickwall:    I had a body man buddy stop over ad give me some tips.... I ended up having to hammer the edge where the trim clips go to make a small gap for glass to fit. Talk about sweat... We had just received the car back from paint.  Good news though as we were able to hammer within the space of the new glass sealant and there are no marks!!!
Now installing and lining up the door glass was a whole other headache.... Patience and beer is your friend!

Keep at it, but like others said, it's good to take breaks!

Tell me about it. Geez. That sure did take some perseverance. The strange part is, one side went in without any headaches and I'm thinking, wow, that was easy........and that's where easy ended. I fiddled and farted around with the other side until I thought it was never going to go in properly but with plenty of patience and a bit of tweaking it finally came together.

Don't be afraid to get crazy with the masking tape. It has prevented a multitude of screw ups.

I agree---When frustration sets in it is time for a break. If you start thinking about taking a gamble with force it is time to regroup.
Some of these things are like a puzzle. There may be more than one way to do them but chipping new paint is always a risk. (Easy does it does it easy)

Thanks , the pics don't really do it justice. Way better in person.

A heavy craft paper / food packaging paper works well as a paint protector. Used like a shoe horn. It worked fine for me. :2thumbs:
