another addition to the SoCal Mopar family

This abused stray followed us home recently.
It is a small block car with factory air.
It was originally a white hat special in Bronze with a tan vinyl roof and tan interior but somewhere along its  hard life it got this very bright yellow paint and black interior.
Well we will be fostering it for a time until the broken transmission can heal.
At that point we will probably try to find it a permanent home since we spent our new house downpayment to pry it out of its former owners garage where it was being ignored.

He had a "home-made" start switch laying on the floor with nothing covering the hot wire connections and a toggle switch above the driver's side window that had to be operated any time the brakes were applied to activate the brake lights.
I repaired both of them in under an hour for under $10.
This was probably 10 times less time and significantly less money than he spent gerry-rigging his fabulous fixes.
His "custom" stereo install was also some excellent work too!

Fender tag with car?  Curious to see if it was actually coded for the hood pins....hard to tell but it looks like they are in the factory locations.

Ah, I see; the added pictures explain the situation better, although the gerry rigging makes no sense at all.  Well then, good on you for rescuing that car, although I have to admit that when I first got my Charger I was guilty of pulling similar shenanigans; live and learn, as they say...
