If it's a Charger, at least they changed it.

What is the third car shown?! Right after the frontend shot of the 300 C... looks mid engined but not like the ME412 from two years ago...

If that was the Charger in the first pic, I don't see all that much of a change. It still has that butt ugly truck front end. It's ok on the Ram, but not a Charger.

wwwallpar.com is calling it the new "Avenger" (e the model now known as the Stratus)...
The spy shots I've  seen so far of the "avenger show a blocky mailibu/focus sized vehicle with clearly front drive traits..

http://images.google.com/images?q=chrysler+spy+&ie=ISO-8859-1&hl=en&btnG=Search+Images

(notice in one shot it's called "Rebel"..  :-\

.but these shots look like the sporty SRT version, (notice the extra badging on the tail).
the roof is chopped off in the front aspect and the face looks leaned back alot more then the brooding Charger sedan...
But I'm guessin it won't nearly be as sleek or tasty as the sketch car...
I guess it's possible a two door charger could be relesed to freshen the range and to capitolise on the inital development of the foor door versions (a convert to follow?)... but I digress...
Chysler is due to release a another sport model too, areoflight I just pray it ain't that ugly duck they showed in Jan.  the
                                                                                                                                              :rotz:

"Pimperial"..
It could, I hope, be called the Firepower... baised on the Viper,
                                                                                                                                               :yesnod:
http://images.google.com/images?svnum=10&hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Firepower&btnG=Search

but, with a Hemi
still I kinda think they're gonna wanna have a vehicle that will sell more units..
But I digress again...
I know you guys couldn't give a shit, but I'm practicing for my new job.  :icon_smile_wink:

that could be a update of the Charger since Dodge is having issues with the NASCAR grille on the old one...
when racing deals fall apart.....you go home, like me.

Crazy Larry

Why does every new Dodge have to have that cross on the grille - from the Ram to the "Charger" to even the concept Challenger - there's always that ugly cross section of chrome or fiberglass.

Can't they make a faceless grille for once?

Those design folks need to be fired.

Oh, and 4forty - I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if that is the production version of the Challanger. They did it to us with the "Charger" so why not go 2 for 2. good call.

Big Lebowski

Ya I'll bet nearly 97% of the Nascar Charger folks don't like the front end/spoiler problem, so it's an issue. Of course we knew that from day one.

They used to change the Charger design every 2-3 years, maybe that tradition will happen again soon.

Mass_Mopar

those taillights remind me of an intrepid, and the front end looks like every other euro/japanese mid size, just erase the crosshair.  Same grille opening, same headlights :P

Avenger  The vid that these caps were taken from were posted on Allpar and that seems to be the general consensus.

Charger sold 11,800 copies in February.

It's the European way.  Look at most of the European cars and you find they frequently prefer to use a "signature" grille across their entire line.  I suppose the new headmasters of DCX have ordered it to be so in the name of establishing brand recognition.  I'd further bet that a quick poll of the designers would find them as frustrated by it as we are.

Relax guys, its the new Dodge Caliber.  4-banger only (although SRT-4 is an option).  Might be an E.U. only release?  Reminds me of an old ford escourt.  :icon_smile_dead:
