Anybody got PRW rocker arms?

I'm planning on doing something with my valve train this winter and was looking for rocker arm recommendations. I am going to order a set of Johnson lifters and I am actually running a set of the PRW stainless rockers on my 493 currently. My rockers look like the comp cam magnum rockers or maybe a copy or knock off of the comp cam style arms. My car runs great but my lifters are slightly noisy while driving. Would like to rid myself of the noisy valve train problems. My cam is a XE 284 comp 241/246 at 50 degrees with 507/510 lift.  The PRW's that are on amazon look a lot better than the one's I bought for my car several years ago. I wonder if these are better than the one's I already have. Just wonder if anyone has any good recommendations for good rocker arms that aren't crazy expensive. I know the Harland sharps are great but they are priced great too. I don't race my charger, it's mostly a driver but I do turn it up now and then. A good set of rockers should be fine I would think instead of having to buy the most expensive on the market!! Any suggestions are appreciated!!!! Thanks Chad

I do.

BUT some bronze bushing got seized, all from the front of engine ( 1 and 2 cilinders, really bad, then 3 and 4 cilinders, less )... IT SEEMS lack of lubrication in my engine. Have to lurk into the problem. Got spares to replace it, and praying the shaft didn't got damaged and a polish job will remove the stickied bronze on it. Will take a while since I'm far away from home.

I run the PRW stainless in 1.5 on a 440, no problems to date. Not that impressed with the hardware that came with them but they have stood up so far. They oil the push rod through a hole in the adjuster which lines up with a hole in the arm so push rod length must be within tolerance.

I got the PRW 1.6 stainless steel rocker set, but wasn't impressed by the feel of the adjusting screws and roller tips...felt like low quality and I decided to use another brand.

That's the way I feel about the ones I have on my 493. They work fine but I have had a few of the adjusters break and I got another set of adjusters so I will have extra's but they seem cheap to me and I'd like to go with some better quality rockers or maybe some better quality adjusters would be nice. Just don't want stranded with rocker arm troubles again. Had to haul it home awhile back because an adjuster backed off. :-\

I also broke an adjuster, I herd a crack after I had stopped the engine, pull the rocker cover and all looked OK. Put a spanner on the adjusters and one was just sitting there, broke at the nut. I backed off all adjusters and snugged them up to a lesser poundage. No problems since.

I have about 2000 miles on them, no issues with the bushes. Are they shimmed to tight?

Nacho-RT74

no, I left enough play to move free
