I couldn't find a post relating to this issue so my apologies if there is one...

I have a 2006 5.7 Charger.  My A/C compressor seized on me and for a temp / quick / cheap fix, I just put on a shorter belt and bypassed the A/C all together.  I put on a Duralast 775K6 belt (from Auto Zone if anyone is trying the same thing).  Can anyone tell me a reason this might be a bad idea?  Or should it last a couple months until I can afford to fix the A/C?  I've heard everything from it's fine to I'm going to do great damage to my car.  I've ran it about 50 miles so far and everything seems to be ok.  Thanks for anyone's help.

it's OK to bypass it with the belt you used...just be prepared to pay a pretty penny to get yer AC fixed correctly when the time comes
