I'd get the Olds myself.   I remember looking at them new at the dealer back then...  gawd I luv them lightning rod shifters  :icon_smile_cool:
My sorta dream 80's G body would be a black intercooled GN with lightning rod shifter and the rear wing from the Olds and the the interior from a Grand Prix.

I can't tell you what is better, the Olds will go up in value..the Duster will be a toy. If it is going to be a daily driver get the Duster but if it is a play thing get the Olds. Then pull the 307 put the motor\trans in storage and drop a 455 in it.

I had an 85 brogham.
It started off with a 2 barrol 3.8L N/A v6
I thru in a turbo 3.8L out of a grand national ..
Got tired of firebirds still beating me down the road so I built up a 350 for it..
That car was a tank, but it had the most predictible rear end out of any front rear car I ever drove. Nice and solid and you could hang it out for miles.

I like GM G bodies better than Mopar B bodies, actually.  I miss my Monte SS.  :(  I'd take the Hurst/Olds for SURE.

I had an '81 Cutlass back in high school with a 1970 Rocket 350 Olds engine in it.......It was the Brougham edition with the pillow interior.  It had the most comfortable back seat I've ever been in ;)
Miss that car.....
I always wanted to order up the H/O decal kit and make a clone but dealer at the time wanted over $400 for the kit.
I was a fan of the black '83 H/O's myself

Lots of show but not much Go.
i do like the body shape.

Back in the 80's my Uncle would race this body style and later Hurst/olds and Monte Carlo SS  all the time on Deer Park Ave on Long Island.[ there were lots of them]
With a stock internals 318 / 4bbl / dual exh in a 72 Challenger, I can't recall that he EVER Lost a race to one of them.  Just some perspective on their speed.

the rocket package was awsome.
My mom had a 75 cutless with the rocket in it.
my fondest memories were riding shot gun on the way home from farmer jack and her rosting mustangs off the line like it was nothing  ;D
