Vacuum fitting for intake, what size?

I need a vacuum fitting for my intake to run the headlight doors but as per the norm I've run into some issues, as in mine is MIA. I've got a pair of 2bbl intakes laying around with single outlet fittings but the outlet diameter is 3/8" which is too big for the vacuum supply hose (A&M High Tech Auto vacuum hose set). I've seen a few other examples on Ebay and one in particular is said to have a 1/4" outlet tube, which would seem to be too small. It appears to me that it should have a 5/16" outlet to properly fit the hose. Where can a guy get a 5/16" fitting, and is 5/16" the right size?

Today I stopped by NAMC and went through his coffee can of vacuum trees and if that was any guide to reality there's probably not a 5/16" outlet size. He had maybe 15 used fittings and 1/8", 1/4" and 3/8"were all I saw. I'm guessing 1/4" is right.

 not sure if this is any help  , i have the original vacuum tree from the 69 imperial motor  &  use  the repop vacuum lines from ( A & M high tech )  i know not OEM for a charger  but it mesures
0.271" ish

((i'm not a expert on any of this ))
pretty much like the picture of mine  , just with less connections  , depending if you have A/C ,  &  or power brakes

its a bit bigger than  1/4 inch  ,  i never thought about measuring inside diameter of the hose  

i use to have good pictures saved but lost a load of pictures a while back
,as far as i know on a 69  there are   three types , one with two connections  the other with three  ,  for a charger , &  a  thrid type  for no A/C no power brakes ,  single connection

I got one today with (roughly) a 1/4" main outlet and I believe a 1/8" side outlet. The headlight vacuum supply fits nice and snug on the center tube.

I just grabbed a roll at advance auto to experiment with full manifold vacuum and I think I bought the 7/16 tubing.  Snug fit on the vacuum advance and the manifold vacuum tree.  I'll double check tonight to make sure though.

Well go figure, it's 5/32" but it fits nice and snug everywhere.

Oddball size. I've found many odd measurements on lots of things on my car. The lengths of most of the bolts on the car is almost always a non-standard measurement.

True!  Last year I needed the screws that hold the rear armrests and bases and guess what?  The stock screws are a tad shorter than the ones you get from the hardware store so they won't work.  Weird stuff.

Same here. I was just at the hardware store the other day trying to find four arm rest screws and the length of it fell right between the lengths they carry. Plus the thread pitch on the Mopar screw is more aggressive. I was hoping to find them in stainless so I bought a cheap zinc-plated screw the same length as the stainless screws to see if that length will work.

I got the shorter screws and they fit just fine.  The hole they go in can be tweaked but it accepted the screws without issue.  The screws that are a tad longer will hit something though so be careful.
