each person can have a varied idea of what half decent is, and in that variable lies several thousands of dollars.  my last car a 66 satellite just needed front floor  pans and lower quarters, but after stripping,welding buying panels,welding wire,welding gas,epoxy primer,primer,body filler, sand paper, i had probaly $2-3000 doing it myself plus untold hours of labor.

I think defining "half decent" as a 50 point car, i.e., "a driver" would fit most people's concept of "half decent". In any event, "half decent" obviously allows for the use of used parts with some visible wear and tear, because if everything had to be new or "as-new", that wouldn't be half decent, that would be "mint". Being able to use used parts with some visible wear and tear is where the huge savings come in.

Worth Saving ~ But yea money pit ~ T7 Bronze is a beautiful color, one of my favorites on a 69.  How is this coming along?  :popcrn:
