ok, so i bought a ford 9" housing, just the housing, and unlike most people who swap axles i dont have an old one for reference, i read somewhere that 68 b-body spring perches sit 44" apart from each other (so 22" from the centre each way?) and im pretty sure they mount underneath the axle tube, but yeah like i said, im pretty much in the dark here, i come from a chevy background and now im mounting ford parts to a dodge  :rotz: any help or advice at all would be cool  :coolgleamA:

'62-'70 B-body perches are on 44" centers under the housing tubes; with the perch level, the pinion is 4 degrees up and don't forget that the Mopar pinion is offset 1 3/16" to the right of center.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
