Did all 68 chargers come with the 8 3/4 rearend as standard equipment?   Thanks

Ghoste

No.  What one do you have?

hawkeye

It is a 318 with auto trans.

Let me rephrase the question.  Were the only 2 axles available in the 68 charger, the 8 3/4 and the dana?

not sure on the axles in it, but there was the lowly 7 1/4 rear end found in front of slant sixes and 318 on standard charger models , I have one out of parts car , had a look and axles look smaller in diameter

I've had three 68 Chargers with 318/auto drive trains. All have had an 8 3/4 rear. The easiest way to tell is to look underneath. The 8 3/4 is fairly easy to identify since the gear assembly comes out the front (ie no removable cover on the back).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.
