Greasing the rear axle bearings on an 8 3/4in diff

So i have replaced the outer axle shaft seals mounted in the housing of the 8 3/4 diff I have and I want to repack the wheel bearings before i slip the shafts back in, do they take normal wheel bearing grease? i guess i would have to hand smear it in too huh? If there are any tricks please let me know, cheers.

yes..normal grease...I used a pointed needle for grease fittings on my grease gun and pumped it into each opening between the rollers of each bearing
