I feel it for you too, having just spent most of May recovering from more spine and pain issues. For what it's worth, when all your doctors, chiro, and therapist (and the x-rays) show your vertebrae and discs are blown out, you really shouldn't put off surgery. Delay just makes for an even longer road to recovery. Mine is due in a few months.

Check out the NovoForm Gel from Costco. It's on sale right now, it's thousands of $$ less than the competitors, ranked number one by Consumer Reports. It's been great for my back (over 6 years), and it is not a "hot" sleep.

Dan,

Did Costco deliver, setup and take away the old mattress for you or did NovaForm do it?

Man Budnicks, what a nasty accident you were in!

Not to make light of it but I got a chuckle out of the MMM carpets trucks that nailed you.

I was hired right out of college by Channel 36 back in the Carol Doda days......Perfect 36 and all that. I was a video tape

editor and cut many many MMM carpet commercials with that spokesman Gary Ferry and his hispanic counterpart.

Small world.
They were who I used all the time in my Dealership Construction projects too, just not the dummies that hit me, they were going somewhere else, MMM tried to not have the Insurance company pay, because we were both insured by State Farm at the time, my agent really helped me, get the ball rolling against them... MMM they did pay after all was said & done thou... The worst part was my 76 Power Wagon was totaled & I had just finished putting new rims/tires, 6" lift, new engine, 4.30:1 gears, new 2-1/2" exhaust, paint customizing mad it 2 tone, silver the original color on-top & black on the sides & I finally finished working on it after like 6 months... Oh well, That's Murphy's Law  :brickwall:

* Free delivery.

* The old one is yours; we found a charity in our county who rehabs old ones, will pick them up, and then they supply it to a needy family. Sometimes the Salvation Army will have a program for rehab mattresses in order to help a women's shelter or a transition house.

* When it's delivered, it is mega compressed into a square box about 3'x2'x2'.

* You position the sealed box on your springs and open the package. The mattress expands to full size over about a one hour period (king is something like 6 feet x 7 feet x 12 inches). It weighs well over 100 pounds so you better be certain of the final location before the expansion starts.

Disclosure: I don't work for Costco or NovaForm, and own no stock in either. I'm just a user. :coolgleamA:

You numba 1 funny Dan! I'm headed to Costco today to look one over. Have any members here looked at a Sleep Number bed?

Since this topic came up I've been reading up on all the choices out there i.e. TemperPedic, NovoForm Gel, iComfort, Sleep Number.

Of course each has its pros & cons. The website that was most helpful is MattressReviews.com. There is even a category reviewing

sex on each type of bed.

As always it a daunting challenge to find the right rack for me.......no pun intended.

Have a great day gang.
