Working, yard work, installing DirecTV in my home office, jump in the pool, watching Giants/A's game on TV, BBQ'ing ribs with fresh corn on the cob, and spending a little time on DC.com (not necessarily in order).

Beer.

Thought a lot about my deceased father-in-law, a great member of the Greatest Generation, and a WWII veteran.

Watched "The Longest Day" on AMC.

Beer.

BBQ in a few hours.

Beer.

Will finish off tonight with a cigar and rye.

I'm proud to be an American. Thank you to all veterans.  :patriot:

Did a little outdoor work, spent a couple hours working on the Cuda/slapping black flies and mosquitoes. Did a little grilling(Burgers and Chicken). Had some car guy friends over. Generally just chilled out having a nice sunny day off of work. Probably watch a little TV and hit the hay to be ready for my 4:30 wake up time tomorrow.

Well, Got in the General, drove into town to find out WTF was casuing this uncontrollable 'miss' I couldn't nail down. Last Sat. went to a cruise in about 50 Miles away. 300 plus cars. Some of you NC guys might know of it in Chatham Va. Anyway, All the way there, spitting/sputtering/etc.
Finally got time to look at it today. Found out after many trial and error, that my BRAND new (Bought maybe 1 year ago, with less than 5K miles on it) Distributor cap had destroyed the little Center pole and began to gring into the surrounding metal tab. Swapped Distributor cap, and also re set timing. Found out my idle was tipped in too far causing my Vacuum advance to pull vacuum all the time and should be ported, so I unhooked it. No more pinging. I reallized I had hooked it up for the Carlisle trip about 2 years back and never unhooked. Runs a little better now.

Also helped a Disabled buddy of mine who's in our club, rebuild his 440 for his Cuda. Should be a pretty good set up when he gets it lined out.

Finally tonight, i got around to firing up all the junk round here. Only two batteries weak. My Chally batt. was all but dead, but my boys '66 Batt. was hot. Go figure.
