1966 Charger spare tire - what size?

I have a 66 Charger and the spare tire which I believe is not original seems a bit wide for the well in the trunk. It does not make a flat surface for the reproduction cardboard insert that goes on the top of it. Did they make a smaller size spare tire for the 66 Charger? If so, what size? I'd like to get the trunk to be completely flat. Thanks!
