single vs two stage clearcoat?

Getting my mats list for my paint job and i came accross single and two stage clearcoat. Now i know the diff between single and two stage paint but whats with the clear?

Single stage is no clear coat, two stage has clear as second stage.

Yes for paints i am talking about a clearcoat that is called a single stage or is it a clear to mix into paint?

Read this tech sheet, you'll see you may add clear to topcoat for increased shine.

Its sort of misleading the way its described as a "single stage" clearcoat. Because that is clear coat that you linked. I don't know why it says that in the description.

Now some people just clear rat rods to save and keep the 'patina', you use no base just clear coat the car as found. I guess that's technically a single stage clear since you are omitting the base coat. But in reality, the is no 'single stage' clear.

  Right you'd add 1 part UA-2400 to Ultra-Glow to make it a "base coat" to overcoat with clear. But you can add clear to the last coat of Ultra-Glow also if you read the last paragraph of the "application" guide.
  Jason I'm certain you have forgotten more than I'll ever know/learn about painting a car!    Bill pointed me back to the tech sheets so I have them booked marked now! With many saying Eastwood and Summit are selling re-branded Kirker and me using Eastwood's 1 to 1 epoxy primer with Kirker Ultra-Glow I used Kirker tech sheets for both products, here is the one for epoxy prime:   http://www.kirkerautomotive.com/PDFS/ENDURO%20PRIMEtech.pdf   I got a killer deal from Eastwood, 59.00 for a gallon of epoxy AND a gallon of hardener, so 118.00 plus shipping for 4 gallons total! I have wasted more then I have on the car and still have lots left!   
  This was just an example for him, I got really confused early on and started my "Painters please help" topic and you guys really helped sort me out on what/how to do! (Boy was I mentally going in the wrong direction!) I won't know how good Kirker really is until the car gets out there in the Florida weather for a while ( I have a back up plan if it starts to fail.) so although I'm trying it I'm not recommending "use Kirker".
