I've owned several Dusters and Dart Sports. Heck...I have 3 of them here right now!
I love the styling of those cars.

Parts to build the A bodies are far more abundant than these Chargers. Plymouth built over 3 million Dusters from 1970-76 compared to less than 250,000 Chargers from 68-70.
I used to grab stuff from Dusters/Valiants/Darts in the self serve junkyards...fenders, doors, interior parts. I never saw a 340 car in the junkyards by the time I started going there so I never scored any HiPo engine stuff. I'd see an 8 3/4" axle in some weird cars sometimes....Twice I got them from slant six 4 door Valiants, the last car you'd expect to find them in. I figured it was maybe because the cars may have been optioned with some towing package or something...

That dude is a '67. The lack of side markers and taillights are giveaways.
Thanks, Chris....I enjoy your pictures you post up here.

thats true KD , tons more A bodies & their parts  :yesnod: speaking of hipo small blocks A bodies
dont want to hijack this thread too much , but bit of a back story
5 six months  before i bought the charger i have now so time line october / novemberish 1988  , me being  17 years old could not wait for exactly the right car came along, found a 69 charger at a dealer / body shop  in primer had a strong 440 six pack in it ,originally 383  Y4 black  interior ,  part of the deal they was going to paint it color of my choice  :-\  could not decide between yellow or sublime maybe  red was on the table also :-\ !  as you know or maybe not the 69 i really wanted had to be a factory yellow charger but  sublime with black top is awesome so is red :coolgleamA:  & being 17.... ::)  , so before inspecting this charger properly that weekend off i went with my Dad to this guy who was parting out a lot of late  model stuff ( even then i called any car younger that 75 late model :P ) but in his back field along with a number  of trucks  &  a few early 70s camaros caddys & fords he had  a 69 charger almost complete to see if i can buy the few missing parts for this primered charger. also back there was a 71 satellite lots of A bodies different years ,plus a real  67 barracuda formula s with a 273ci & a four speed , rotted out but complete even still had the finned valve covers on it . one thing i was noticing apart from the 67 barracuda ,all the other A bodies were really good condition it seemed being parted out , the best was a 73 /4 or 5 dart sport or duster slant 6 light green it was really mint  no damage at all been there some time though,
end of story inspected this primered charger properly before it was painted ! was a perfumed pig ! well it was not bad bad  but corners had been cut with the body  & floors had been poorly patched , had a reality check  :slap: so did not buy it , bought the one i have now april 1989

THAT is a 1972 Dodge Demon. They only made the Demon for 2 years, 1971 and 72. Dodge renamed the car "Dart Sport" for the 1973 through 1976 model years. The name change is rumored to be due to objections from religious groups that were offended by what seemed to them to be an automaker glorifying the Devil.
Thanks Chris!

Thank you for the year/make/model and the information! I revised my post.

Looks like someone has a nice project there.
