Quite dramatic! I had a car that had been painted that color once (Moulon Rouge? FM-3?) but in the early 80s it was a bit-hard to live with (for a 20-something living in essentially a hillbilly hell). It wasn't an original paint car so I repainted (as quickly as I could) to a more "acceptable" color scheme (Sublime).  Is this an original color for this car?

70 sublime

Looks like a great car in that colour

I also had a 70 Charger parts car that was painted that colour even though it was originally an orange carhood 27 05 2023.jpg

Found a picture as that is the hood I am going to use on my car
next project 70 Charger FJ5 green

color is great, and the pink on white looks great too, congrats man!

Yes.
The story:
Five years ago I bought a 1970 Charger 500, #'s matching 383 Magnum, 4 barrel, 4 speed pistol grip, Dana 60 Rear...unbelievable story how I acquired the car in my own town where I have lived for 50 years...the car was a pale red (because what 17 year old would drive a pink car? – at my age of 56, I could care less) but when I brought it home upon decoding the fender tag, the car was originally "Panther Pink" (Paint Code: FM3), white vinyl top, black guts, etc...So I contacted some really nice people on a Charger Forum that pointed me in the direction of the 70 Charger Registry owner to find out more about this Panther Pink thing. Here is his response:

"The car is in the Registry database. Your car was built on the last day of production in 1969.
We know it is 1 of a handful made in FM3 paint code (Panther Pink) – In other words you have the rarest Charger ever made.

So I could not do it a dis-service and have it painted anything other than the original "Panther Pink"...yet I did have to make some upgrades to my liking because I will be keeping it forever...I had the original #'s matching drive train pulled and preserved and had a brand new from scratch, professionally built by Alan Prusiensky (NHRA Pro Stock Race Car Driver https://www.autoweek.com/racing/nhra/a2153346/nhra-pro-stock-driver-alan-prusiensky-still-mend-following-massive-crash-charlotte/
Indy Aluminum Block 572 Hemi, dual throttle body installed with a 6 speed Tranzilla (yes, with the original pistol grip!)Moser Dana 60 rear...wheels, etc...It did 976HP on the dyno!!!

Love this thing!

There were 54 FM3 70 Charger 500s with V8 made. Yours is 1 of 4 registered thus far FM3 383-4bbl 4 speed, however only one of those 4 so far with white vinyl top. That is all based on around 11% of production registered thus far. The SPD (Scheduled Production Date) is 710 (July 10, 1970). FM3 cars are rare however just to clarify I would not have said it was the rarest Charger ever made. Congrats on the car show win!
