It's high!   We all have see crazy pricing, but this is way high.   I value it at $40/$45 in todays market.

That car needs another $20,000 to finish in order to be a $60,000 car.
His price is too high.

Mytur Binsdirti

That's the price of patina today.

If he wants to get that type of money, I would put a $1,000 Maaco paint job on it and it probably would sell for that.

Here are some others on the market now.

HANDM

Restored underside, engine rebuilt, new suspension and then ran out of money, put it back together and selling for a premium to get back investment?

Or all the above except they wanted the "patina" look so didn't do anything else?

By this logic, all I have to do is paint the underside of this '70 XP and it should be worth $50,000 since it isn't an R/T ?

Looks more like the "just get it running" approach, with the wife complaining of how much money it cost, or how knows how much it's worth.

......OR a sky high price that nobody will pay. The wife bitches to the guy to sell it so he prices it to a point that guarantees that he will keep it.

dkn1997

If I was considering this car to buy, I'd have a 50k-60K number in my head to finish it.

So, if the seller is being truthful about #s matching and having documentation.... then My question to myself would then be: is a #'s matching, 68 R/T worth @130K?  I'm no expert but my guess is yes- but that's getting up there in the range unless this is some super rare and desirable combo.

Obviously the more you can do yourself, that completion number goes down.  If you are just going to stroke checkes to complete this one, i'd skip the middle man and buy a completed one.

Except for the god awful engine (engine bay itself is nice) I actually like it.

I know guys that have done that before.

The price is way too high when you have rust like this.  Not a big fan of the GM master cylinders on Mopar cars with so many other options out there but that's just my personal opinion.
