Epecially since the Big 3 all run 2 door looking cars in it?
It's something to watch on Saturday. I'm glat that Nascar finally made it to where the cup guys couldn't win the championship. As far as being a diehard follower, no. Actually, I think the trucks put on a better show than any of the car series. The trucks punch a big hole in the air, so the trucks can suck up easier for passing. The races are also shorter and go to a more variety of tracks that the races are one that you can actually sit down and watch, without being bored to death. I like the fact that they are shorter because the drivers will actually go for the win instead of just cruising around.

agree...truck series is the better of the 3, rubbin', bumpin', beatin', & bangin'......way more entertaining and exciting than the other 2 series.
We watch all 3 series every weekend, have for years now
Bryan
i still watch it,i really like the truck races,James Buescher goes to my church, him & his wife are very good people.
The closest race we have is Road America which is Nationwide. One of the better attended races in the series. So I would say we do care.
Are the cars in that series as generic as the top dogs

Basicly, yes. It's actually the same chassis I believe. They done that to keep cost down. The only things different is a different aero package, motor, and they still run carbs instead of f.i. like the cup. They also are on the old points system. No playoff type deal. Old school
But all basically the same body with different decals on it to differentiate what make and model it is supposed to represent
The body is different to comply with the different aero package. They are made more boxy looking to punch a bigger hole in the air. They done that in cooperation with the car companies to give the cars more brand identity. That's why the Mustang and Challenger are run instead of the Focus and Charger. Camero for chevy for next year. It has worked so well in the Nationwide series that they are doing something similar in the Cup. All the cup cars will get reskinned for next year to make them look closer to production models. Cup cars right now are all the same body.
I still watch all 3 series. Most of the time, the Nationwide give a better show I think.

The cup series is going to release a date eventually that they are going to be racing at Road America as well. I got that from a coworker, who's daughter works for Dale Jr. He Thought it will be on the 2013 or 2014 schedule.

And starting next year, NASCAR is doing away with that top 35 rule for qualifing. in both Sprint Cup and Nationwide.

And there is a good chance the trucks might be running the dirt track Eldora starting next year. That's Tony Steward's track.

A lot of years since I went to see a race at Eldora, its a happening little track for sure.
