Title: Bumper jack replacement?
Post by: jlatessa on September 29, 2012, 08:38:00 AM
Hi folks, have a 70 Charger resto-mod and would like to hear what anyone has used for a safe replacement for the original jack.

Since the trunk floor and wheel wells have been replaced, and no original hooks and brackets remain, we need some ideas for safe storage too.

Thanks, Joe

P.S. Of course not using the bumpers!

I'd use a bottle jack.  It's small and light weight for the most part.  You can make a clamp that goes around the body of the jack with a bolt and a wingnut.  Handle can be placed along side it. :2thumbs:

I have a little floor jack in a plastic case that I take in my trunk but I have been thinking about switching it out for a bottle myself because of the compactness.
