Title: Instrument Panel Lighting
Post by: snicker on July 29, 2005, 12:33:45 PM
I am having problems getting my background lighting on the instrument panel to work. I have the harness hooked up and the bulbs are ok. All of my buttons such as headlights, emergency flashers, wiper, etc. work fine. The turn signal lights work on the dash as well. What am I missing? I made sure the dimmer wheel wasn't all the way down. Is there some sort of fuse or capacitor on my panel that could be bad?

The panel dimmer switch could be bad.  Try bypassing it with a jumper wire.

Good idea. I was thinking it was ok though because when I have my high beam indicator on and I roll the dimmer switch I can see the light flicker.

Where do I connect wires to bypass it?
