Originally mine dumped out the drivers side of the master between it and the inner fender (manual drum brakes). Many others dump out the passenger side. Was it just the manual brake cars that dumped out the drivers side?
My 69 Charger with power front discs has the brake lines on the passenger side.
Mine has manual drum brakes and has the brake lines on the driver's side.

Hemi disc cars, eh? :scratchchin: I wonder what those look like and if you can still get them new and/or reman. I'll have to look.
Here's my deal... I kind of want to retain the stock look (have the master dump out the drivers side) but I need a disc brake master cyl so I need one that looks similar in most ways and dumps out the same side. I realize the disc brake reservoirs are going to be 60/40 instead of 50/50 but I can live with that. So is there anything else out there that will work if I can't find one of these Hemi masters? If not I'll just convert the system to the disc brake master that dumps out the engine side.
I have front disc brakes exiting on the driver's side. Bought the MC at UAP/NAPA.

Yea. :2thumbs: You don't happen to have that Napa part number do you? Is yours a Hemi car?
I'm pretty sure he has a 440. He just has an upgraded brake system.
Curtis are you asking whats correct or just a general consensus on what will work?
I posted what is "correct" for your car....you can make anything else work
Power disc brakes....non Hemi

I would like what is "most" correct (a disc brake master that dumps out the drivers side) but now I'm trying to find one -- that's why I need Back N Black's part number. So far I'm not finding a correct-looking master cylinder for disc brakes that dumps out the drivers side. If I can't find such a thing I'll be making something else work.
In other words, my car came with what you see in the blue car pic you posted (manual drum) and what I want is what you see in the Hemi car pic, assuming I can bolt that right to the firewall (manual disc). What I'm hoping to build is a manual disc brake car with a master cyl that dumps out the drivers side, which might be too much to ask.
the disc master with the lines coming out the passenger side were like hen's teeth to find but now NAPA has them new from China. Don't have the original numbers on the but O/W, very close. The ones with the lines coming out the drivers side is generally all you can get. The trouble is, unless you can inspect the master you won't know what you are going to get. Cardone, a couple of years ago, started using parts that were functionally equivalent but not the "correct part" So you might end up with one that has bosses on both sides but only drilled and tapped on the drivers side. There are several variations. And Cardone won't pull one for you like you want---real customer friendly. So all you can do is just keep ordering them until you get one you like is about all I know to do. Or have yours rebuilt.
Curtis, in your application "most" correct would be a master that has the lines exiting out the engine side.
The NAPA master that I posted about in this thread two years ago is the one you need.....all you would need to do is order up the pair of "correct" lines to the master...Less than $20 on eBay...

:Twocents:
Chris,
Originally my lines exited out the drivers side so the one I prefer is one that does the same. I bought one today from Autozone. It's a 1973 Dart master that's the same as what Back N Black and 1hot68 have. It looks pretty much the same as the Hemi car master you posted above.
I had the same when I did my SSBC conversion

Well, heck, you should have sold it to me.
Did the exit side change for the 2nd gens? My 67 has the lines coming out on the driver side and it's power disc/non Hemi.
