:drool5: That's a nice clean car. :2thumbs: So due tell the specs.
i like it.
:icon_smile_big:
WS car, 43000 miles, really nice driver with some ameteur body work done in the rear qtrs that didn't scare me at all and also the pass door is a little wavy, again, no worries here. You could eat off the engine compartment, then again I eat off the floor. ;D
Nice car, no fender tag(stolen), but I'm not a purist anyway, I'll figure it out and repop one to put on eventually.
3.23SG out back, and the owner got rid of the wheels because he didn't like them :brickwall:
but the tt's will look nice when I powder coat them the same color as the car, but that will wait til I save my pennies. Got me a driver brothers and sisters and it is way more practical than that 55 IMO.

Mike
as for more specs, I'll have to do some digging but that's the fun right. I'm 3 mopars deep now. :2thumbs:
just got to find a way to get rid of that chevy dually and my 84 chevy truck and turn them into a Mopar dually diesel again(not gonna happen for a while though)
My life will then be complete.
Very cool ride! Theres a Coronet page out there a friend runs it's really a great site chk it out if ya get a chance
www.dodgecoronet.com Good luck with that car looks & sounds like it's sweet!
I take it that's a 68. ? :scratchchin: 3 deep, :scratchchin: now that can make a man walk funny. :icon_smile_big:
Tom,
thanks I'll check it out, but I really like to stay right here, but will definitely look into it.

nope that is a 67 R/T, I had one like that , same color but had a black top and interior.
I'd have traded in a heartbeat!!!!
Nice pick up. It looks like a cross between scorch red & the burgundy. Maybe the broadcast sheet is hiding in there somewhere.
I like the '67 Coronets, had a '67 500 vert. That was the only car my wife would drive.
It's a hard body to get any kind of rubber in the rear wheel wells, quite the opposite of our 2nd gen. Chargers.
Mike, your new car looks great. I look forward to seeing it at the local car shows
Rick
yes it does have some paperwork that I will thumb through tomorrow while my boss is railing me for trading my 55 for it, but he's gm all the way and has 2 55's out back(restore candidates)
thing is, my 55 has been for sale all summer long and I would have taken 25$ for it but no bites. I saw this in the trader mag 5 days ago and I emailed him and said straight up trade. He came and looked at the car yesterday and said I was crazy, I said, it's what you want, and it's what I want.... went down this evening, looked it over and he still tried to talk me out of it. I said if you can live with my car, I can live with your car, done deal.
I'll have to borrow my digital camera back from my goddaughter(that I gave her) so I can get some good pics of the car and paperwork, and the other stuff he gave me with it, including a diecast of the same exact car with the same exact paint color. I need to know that color so I can have it shot and matched up.
You would think I would be finishing my GL, but I'll do them both this winter as it's about to end cool car season anyway.

Rick
Rick, you're back, or at least I haven't seen you here in a while. If I go to the show, I won't be entering, just might drive it there to look at your car :icon_smile_big:.
By the way, where you working now?
Mike
I just went across the street to a Honda dealer. As far as the paint goes, Motor Supply in Augusta can scan your paint with their camera
and mix you up a correct match
Nice car. As long as you are happy with the trade - ENJOY! At least it's more streetable but you gotta still love those tri fives.
I WOULD DO THAT 1967 CORONET TRADE ANY DAY!!!! :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
yes great trade.
Very nice, Mike. I really like it. :2thumbs:
Very nice! A rare deal, a straight across trade. Congratulations! :2thumbs:
Dan
Great deal, I love the 67 RT Coronets.
nice looking Coronet :yesnod: ....................... :2thumbs:

What took you so long Tuffy? ;D
Thanks everyone for the comments. I didn't sleep much last night. I'll register it today but it will be in the trailer for another couple days due to having to work on the race car for this weekend.

Mike
You lucky dog. Congrats :yesnod:
Nice lookin' ride  Love the 67 only chrome VC's....wonder why they stopped those after '67?

That makes two of us! :2thumbs:
AWESOME trade!
I REALLY like that car....! I happen to like '67 Coronets. :D I sometimes wish mine was the R/T model like the die-cast I have. By the way, I think the color combo of the middle one is striking.... :icon_smile_wink:
Mike, this car is available in die-cast ...can you imagine it with white interior? :2thumbs:
He actually gave me a diecast he bought that looks like the exterior exactly, including white striping. I remember him saying he put the striping on the real car after getting the diecast. :shruggy: The interior of the diecast is not white but copper I believe. Easy fix but not my priority. Nice looking model anywho.
Damnit, I need my digital camera back.
TT1 is the original color, but can't find a 67 on the net that color. So... in 1967, was TT1 the dark copper almost brownish red color. I guess tomdroptop wins, I'm headed to the coronet site. Don't worry Troy I'm loyal to this one, but I need some help.
I do know my interior is not correct as it states copper on the printout he gave me from Chrysler...it is most definitely white for the most part. I ain't changing though, so it's all good.
What...you got tired of really LOUD paint jobs? ;D
Nice trade, looks like you made out well. :2thumbs:
Hee hee, never get tired of those, you've seen my pride and joy right. :2thumbs:
Here's a couple scans of the paperwork thus far. I will search for the build sheet when I get it out of the trailer.
By the way, I'm supposed to be working on the race car but I have a wicked cold and my head is pounding, so I thought hanging out here would help me feel better. :coolgleamA:

TT1 is the original color
I've had three 1967 Coronets. My second car was TT1 Copper/black top/black interior. I was going to restore it ..... changing the exterior color to ZZ1 Gold (like my first one). Then I found the car I have now, and like they say - - the rest is history. :icon_smile_wink:
That '67 copper was dead looking in my opinion... Even though not original, the PP1 red with white interior is much better! :2thumbs:
Nice ride, congrads! :2thumbs:
Excellent Score Mike ! :2thumbs:
I would have made that swap in a second....no doubt about it ! :icon_smile_big:
Ron
If the 55 was a totally streetable cruiser, I might have flinched...but you did the right thing. Loud racecars are cool, but it gets tiring. The best thing is to just jump in your musclecar and go, and not worry about where you take it and weather, etc...
I don't drive my 68 in the rain if I can help it, but I have gotten caught a few times and it's no big deal.
For my Charger, I wouldn't have done it, for the Coronet... GREAT TRADE!
registered it today....my JOE DIRT tag lives again :icon_smile_big:
Nice car. You are the second person I know of that traded a '55 Chev for a Mopar. Some Chevy guys DO learn. :icon_smile_big:
here you go b's and g's
:icon_smile_big:
Awsome Mike :boogie:
:2thumbs:
Looks damn straight :2thumbs:
not that straight, but i'll fix it. Awesome driver to say the least!! Went and drove her today...wicked smooth!
I'm happy!
Looks like the factory burgundy that was available. I absolutely love that color. That's a fine f****n' lookin' car Mike.
My Dad has a '55 210 Sedan that he restored. I sanded on a few fenders so I have a soft spot for them. But I would have been all over that trade.
19Charger68's car is painted that color too and is just beautiful.
this is all i'll say.(i love tri 5's but...)...Thanks Mike :2thumbs:  :icon_smile_big:
That thing looks like a great cruiser. :2thumbs:
I don't know when the last time was I saw one of those on the street. A guy I knew that owned a Union 76 station had one in back that hadn't been driven in years. Wonder what happened to it.
I especially like two things on that car...the hood treatment and that R/T emblem on the top of the doors. Of course, having a white interior 68 Charger with essentially the same console makes me a bit biased on the interior too!
I'm LOVIN IT......... I tried to buy a 67' about 8 months ago. The guy said it was very nice and straight. I drove a few hours to check it out and I have to say, some people CAN look you straight in the eye and lie through their teeth.. What a pile of shit...
I am lovin yours though.. Damn fine trade... :2thumbs:
