Title: WHATS IT WORTH 1955 301 POLY SPIT FIRE motor complete

i had a guy call me about a motor he has and wanted to know if i am interested in it . is the 1955 301 poly SPIT FIRE worth anything ?  :shruggy: i was hoping it was an early HEMI when i first talkied to him . but its just a poly  :'(

I'm guessing that unless you find just the right buyer, you'd have trouble giving that thing away. There aren't many folks around these days that even remember them, much less know anything about them. I think if you could find a decent intake and headers for it, it would look cool in an old-school hotrod though.

I agree with 71 Charger on that one! It would maybe be a nice piece just to put in the garage corner if you have room as a conversation piece, but I don't believe they are really worth much. Lyle
