The Challenger was delivered to the body shop, I hope to have it in paint by May. I should have some pics on a disc in a couple of weeks. He has already cut out and welded in reat quarter patches. This is the same guy that painted the wanna bee, I am real happy with his work, infact if I don't get another project, he will probably paint the 68. It is a decent driver, but I did the body work and every time I wash or wax it it seems I find another spot a missed or just aint right.
good luck with her and how bout a picture or two. Rene
I stopped bye yesterday, he has the driver side rear quarter patch pannel welded in and he fabricated the front of the wheel well. I had purchased some pannels for those sections but the quality was so poor he would not use them. Nothing rusted through yet but lots of bubbling and some pin holes after it was da down to bare metal. He keeps a disc of his progress as soon a sthe first is full he will give it to me. I had 2.d disc of photos for the wanna bee. As soon as I have some I will try to post.
very cool . yea sometimes it's better to make your own panels. especially if there small. your car sounds intresting . what color is it and what motor combo?
Quoteor just ain't right
i know the flaws in my cars and when i look at them i see the flaws first . so I've been eliminating . them. Rene
sounds good , would love to see some pictures :popcrn: ............ :2thumbs:
it will be Y1 yellow, I believe it was originally a 6cyl had the small rear and 904 tranny. When I bought it in 1982 it had a 318 and I was told it was the originall engine. Years latter I pulled the thing out and it was dated 1978 :slap: So Im guessing not original. It also had a very small radiator that I have only seen on 6 cylinder E bodies. It now has a 340/727 with open 8 3/4 rear. I had to borrow the $2000 to buy the car from my father in law. That was alot pf money for me back then, My wife thought I was crazy. It was a daily driver for me through 1990. After I got out of the Navy and moved back to Illinois in 1989 was the first time it was ever garage kept and pampered. I bought a new house with a heated attached garage in 1995 and that winter a started taking it apart. Here we are, several cars have come and gone and the old girl is finaly comming back together. Iwill try to post some pics of her from a couple of years back when Cuda ken ad I had started putting her back together. It will not let me post it says my attachment is to large. I would be happy to Email them to you if you know how to reduce and post.
let me try again! all I can get is the wanna bee :brickwall:
