I posted on one of these forums a few years back and wrote about my Charger and they told me it was a One Of None ..then I was upset..and took it as a slap in the face..Now I am proud.. I have had my Charger since 1979, I had my Graduation photos taken with it.. I parked it to await restoration in '81 and it has patiently waited while I raised a family, moved a few times (she always came with me) and have built my dream home.. Now it is time.. Anyway they called it a One Of None well so be it.. I will wear it with honor and hold my head high when it goes to the shows
I want to hear what you guys think..
it is also a 4speed ar
also a sun roof..
Oh yeah theres one more thing!
Its a 68' :coolgleamA:
Sunroof 68 Charger? :drool5: :drool5: I guess Im not familiar with the story but hot damn fix that baby up. Numbers matching doesnt mean much to me, make your charger the way you want it.
A very rare beast indeed interesting,I have never seen where the sunroof drains untill now thanks for the pics.
One of None...you are a most honorable person...I wish you great victory and revenge to those that slapped the face of uniqueness. One of None carry on with pride...but never forget your roots.
One of None, that will be a great car. I'm a little bit jealous :icon_smile_big: :2thumbs:
:o whats the story then :popcrn: :popcrn: , would love to see some pictures :yesnod: :yesnod: , & pictures of the restoration :yesnod: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:
:2thumbs: :coolgleamA:
There are pictures that Dodge used in the advertising of the sunroof option, clearly showing `68 seat pattern. One of none, more like one of one.
very cool car no matter how ya look at it!! :2thumbs:
That is absolutly awesome!!! I have a 68 myself, and would love to have a sunroof on mine!!! :drool5: :drool5: :drool5: :drool5:
Awesome!
one of none could turn in to one of one - as they say, "never say never"
either way, you have a great car with some interesting history (no matter which history turns out to be correct)
One of none?
If that is a #'s matching 4 speed R/T then alot of us will be left behind with even less than none...
whats the fender tag or buildsheet say? do you have them? either way, it is still a really cool car and who cares what the "numbers" freaks say.
Interesting. What were the production numbers?
Very nice car.
Blue 4-speed '68.. Sweet......... Now, the sunroof, that's cool........ It must be a very late production date car?
Neat car.........interesting......I've NEVER been a fan of sunroofs, especially in musclecars....but if it is a factory install, definitely an unusual/rare car.....
Real cool! Can't wait to see it finished. :2thumbs:
details man! and MORE pics!!
Very cool car indeed. Sunroof parts are rare as I am looking for them. Thanks to another member on this board I now have an OEM sunroof switch and know where I can obtain cables. He also hooked me up with a video on how to install/remove the complete system. I can make a copy of interested -PM me.

Cool Charger!
So, it's an XP car or an XS car? Looks to me like it's at least a one of one car from here. :scope: :)

thats what I was thinking, if it was a one of none, seems like it wouldnt exist at all
Is there brackets for the buddy seat?
If the car is indeed a prototype or engineering template the tag or broadcast sheet might not tell you anything about the sunroof.
:popcrn: cool looking car man. good luck on the resto
Yep. Hot looking car indeed. I just love 68s - especially R/T s, as I have one myself. But a sunroof one? Way cool. I have to ease my sunroof jones with my 4Runner...
Actually I was gonna post a question abot the buddy seat..This is a console delete ( I think) anyway I have the buddy seat..trying to figure out how it was installed.. the holes in the floor dont seem to match..anybody enlighten me?
The buddy seat has brackets that are(were) welded to the floor pan.Try a search on this sight for pics.Someone had posted pics already.

I answered the other one but I'll put this here since it follows the conversation. It looks like your car had bucket seats only - so there's no console and no buddy seat. The buddy seat (and console for that matter) requires mounting brackets to be welded on the floor. Your car was ordered so the buyer probably wanted it exactly this way. I like it personally and I wouldn't stick a buddy seat in it.

I have to agree with the boss. If this thing has a factory sunroof it's pretty dang rare so I wouldn't go too far out of my way changing things around from what was original.
Sorry I posted twice.. I asked and commented about the buddy seat on the other one..
