My '70 340 Duster was originally FK5 Burnt Orange. It has been repainted blue. I am thinking of going back to the original color with the black stripe and black interior. I was originally thinking of painting it yellow, but I should probably bring it back to it's original glory. Here is one I saw on ebay. Does anybody have any nice pics of a FK5 car ? Please post, Thanks
I have a Original Paint FK5 Charger, Maybe I'll post pics later. LEON.
FK5 is one of those seldom seen colors that look really good. There is a retired high school teacher here in town that has an FK5 70 Charger 500 that he has stashed away. It used to be a well known car but it's become kind of a secret now.
Are you looking for pics of any FK5 cars or do you just want Chargers?
heres hemi hamptons car :yesnod: btw Leon ay updates on that bengal? i cant remember if i asked that or not-MATT

That's a beautiful car !! :yesnod: Any pics of any FK5 cars would be great. What do you guys think of the color on the Duster in the pic? Or should I go with a high impact color? It is a FK5 car with black stripe and black interior, just like the one in the pic. Thanks
I had a 70 Barracuda that was Burnt Orange. I don't think I ever saw a Duster that color. But I like it a lot. :2thumbs:

I would go back original because I don't think a lot of Dusters were FK5. That one looks pretty nice in FK5.

I agree, it's not a common color on a Duster or a Dart. It's your call man, but I for one am tired of high impact cookie cutters. It takes guts to go original these days. :yesnod:

WOW!!! Whoever thought Burnt Orange could look so good!! I can only hope that it will turn out as nice as those cars. Thanks Guys. :2thumbs:

I think I am convinced to go with the original FK5 color!! Lotsa B bodies they all look great . :2thumbs: anybody have any pics of any Dusters in FK5??
Was FK5 a '70 only color?
As far as I know a 70 only color. I've even seen a original Superbird this color, the only one. LEON.
I'm curious as to what a '73 or '74 RR would look in that color. Great color nonetheless.
One year only? Now that makes it "special"

There are actually three 'Birds in FK5 - two automatics and one 4-speed car. Pretty rare cars, all things considered...
It looks good on any Mopar if you ask me. I really like that color on Chris G's car, and it brings a tear to my eye as well.
P.S. Can I get some gas money for Carlisle too??
Here's my with various lighting

I'm glad I could bring such emotion to Gene, Chris and Bill. I guess I need to be careful about who I fall asleep around in Carlisle. :poke: ;)
And the pics AK posted are very good. The color can change pretty quick.
You won't find many Dusters with this color. I rarely see it on any A-Body.
