Title: Permatex muffler and tailpipe sealer
Post by: Dino on March 14, 2025, 08:22:47 PM
I thought this was something I could use on the slip joints of the pipes and muffler, but it looks like this stuff dries like cement. I'm not trying to patch a hole, I need something that minimizes corrosion in case I want to change out parts. Any suggestions?

Hmmm...
I would think that anti-seize would be a better option. I use the stuff on spark plugs in aluminum headed engines. Imagine the heat they see. I'm sure they are hotter than a muffler.

Just assembled it with anti-seize. Thanks for the tip.  :2thumbs:
