Neato. Jambs and engine bay look unrepainted maybe. Perhaps T5 originally?
Hopefully a local WI member can attend the auction and report out.

Hi Hemi-Hampton, 16 July 2022
We'll post a SWAG: $137,545.25 . . . . maybe mucho mas.
Looks strange seeing a nice exterior and a nasty engine bay. Guess it may lend authenticity to the package.
Wonder where the tail stripe went. Could it have been a delete option?
Being as how the license plate is from Wisconsin, our guess is it has possibly seen winter and salt.
One thing for certain, we're not in the market for a car; just maybe a KW is in our future.

I have looked at this car and it is a terrific example of a time capsule, fender tag is there and full, build sheet was found by my friend who is one of the sons of the man who collected all these treasures. Engine and trans are original to the car and those numbers have been verified. I do believe there is now more info on this car on mecums site. I personally would love to own this car.

Of all of Elmer's toys the 500 is the one I liked the most. If you have a chance to be in my area the museum is on the top of the hill above Fountain City. Elmer was a sharp business man and a likeable guy, he helped me out with parts back when I raced stock car and gave me some great advice when I first started vending at swap meets. If you like cars, toys, pedal cars etc. this will be the last summer you can check this stuff out all in one place. Below are the dates...

Hi Folks, 15 August 2022
Love the sign Elmer's holding: "He who dies with the most toys Wins."
Sure is a neat collection. Someone will score big time if it sells as a lot.
If the C500 has a solid body, we'll revise our estimate to $200K, maybe mucho mas !!!
Sure would like to have all that stuff. Haven't a clue where we'd put it.
From our reading of the posts, Elmer is watching from above. Hope he and his heir's will be happy with the results of the auction.

With the filled in rear valance corners maybe it's not so solid?

LOL No one is safe anymore, digital cameras catch everything. Over the years the two places I never looked at. That deep under the car and in the trunk.

Hi Mytur Binsdirti, 16 August 2022
We think you are talking about the "Valance" below the rear bumper that runs almost the full width with the exception of the corner pieces; it's a three piece part. If that's what you are referring to, it does look like the driver side had something done to it as it has a bit of an odd shape to it, like "REPAIR" maybe. Our guess is the only two reasons they are filled in is RUST and getting hit in the rear. Rust would be "numero uno" on our guess list.
Gee, now we have to adjust our block price again. OK, here goes: $95K and that's a stretch. What a letdown; can't win them all!
Have to remember the car is from Wisconsin:
Cold, Snow and SALT . . . . lots of it.Best Always

In today's market and knowing what it costs to put into these cars, I wouldn't pay more than 70K for it, but I'm sure someone will.

Early bidding has started on the pedal cars and other smaller items. Mopar pedal cars showing strong in early bidding Superbird's 550-3000, Daytona's 350-450 58 Plymouths and Dodges even at 100.

The wing cars are still in the $4000 range in early bidding a bargain compared to the Fury's. The Fury go carts had strong bidding yesterday at 12 and 15 thousand. I didn't expect them to get to $10,000.
They are really cool little cars.
The bottom/under side of this is rusty. Most of the cars motors are locked up. I will be there today bidding on the Wing pedal cars. I think they will go for over $8,000. Good luck bidding.
