I'm in the midst of tracking the history of a particular EV2 V-code Superbird, the one I found in the Niagara Escarpment area of Ontario, back in 1981. At that time, the car was only 11 years old, and pretty much beat to death.
Winter driving, along with some youthful exuberance were both likely to blame.
I do know that two Superbirds, including the one with a serial number one before this one, were sold at St.Thomas Chrysler Plymouth.
If anyone has a database of Canadian shipped Superbirds, it would be of great help. On a similar note, since Superbirds were all built for stock, and not custom ordered, I'm thinking they all might be Y05 coded (US Spec) versus some being possibly Y07 (Canada spec). Can anybody verify this?

I believe you mean Y05 instead of V05. My Ontario delivered Superbird is coded Y05 as well. Galen Govier told me one time that he has a list of Canadian delivered birds but that may or may not be true!!!

I can confirm the one in the picture with the advertising painted on the side no longer exists according to some local Mopar experts. I was even told of the exact spot - a notorious curve where it was wrecked years ago not far from me. And yes it was sold new in St. Thomas Ont.

Now, the problem I have with that bit of information, is the photo in the St. Thomas dealership with the young man standing next to a Superbird. It clearly shows the 15" x 7" Rallye wheel on the car. Yet the one with the advertising has the road wheels. The particular car that went off the corner (after allegedly crashing into an Amish horse cart) and rolling, has llong been identified as being #747. Superbird #748 was optioned with road wheels, as detailed on its build sheet. This is why having a list of Canadian-delivered Superbirds would be of great help.
