Title: 10" Rear Drum Brake Specs
Post by: twenty mike mike on October 10, 2015, 03:02:25 PM
I can't find it in the FSM or here...what is the max ID of a 10" rear drum before it should be replaced? At least I presume that's how it's measured, rather than the thickness between the outside and the braking surface. 10 x 2 1/2" brakes.

You can often find the maximum inside diameter dimension cast into the outer rim of the drum. 10.060" (.060" oversized) is common.

There is nothing anywhere on the drum, but I'll go with the .060 over. Thanks.
