Title: 1966 cgarger trim question
Post by: moparmanic on June 16, 2014, 06:09:22 PM
I am currently putting the trim back on my car after a repaint. the area I am working now is the long trim on the top of the quarter panel this runs from the back to the front of the car.  Does anyone know where I can get 8 clips for the rear trim? For a reasonable price? The trim on the doors and front fender I have, Thanks in advance.

Doug (IndyDoc) reproduces them. He usually has sets on eBay

Very gently with something plastic and flat, just find a spot and pry.  Easiest place to start is at the end.  It only crimps on the edge where the 2 pieces of metal are welded together at the top of the quarter.
There is a liitle track of sorts in there that the clips slide into.
Bottom is the quarter, middle and above for the doors and same for fender.  But I used the top ones on my fender so I could remove the trim easily when I'm working on the car or cleaning. They work great.
