I could have gotten a yellow 440 4v bird about 30 years ago for 20k at Monster Mopar.  The guy had the steering linkage broke on the show field and said 20k and it is yours.  My wife said there is no way you are buying a broken car for 20k even if you can get a loan.  Should have left her then.

I love what Bill paid for his first one. I got my J5 V coded 4spd in '86 for $9800 and it was local. It wasnt a bargin or overpriced, right about what they were selling for as I remember. I looked at two that were priced in the 10's and inquired on a few in the Hemmings but didnt love the thought of traveling to see them.

...that must be the Daytona I currently own(first one shipped), I've never seen a picture of it painted that color...I know it had a couple of different paint jobs

...back then it only had 6K original miles, it still has just 9400 miles...it was purchased new by a Charlie S in Huntingdon Pa.
