I am putting a 440 in my 1969 charger. It has a victor jr single plane with demon 850

will this clear stock hood or do I need to go fiberglass cut a hole and add a 4" hemi scoop or butterfly scoop....

Thanks

Doug

Never would cut the original hood, I am going to get a fiberglass hood and cut a hole in it for a butterfly scoop

You will need a scoop with the Victor.  :yesnod:

The Holley Street Dominator will perform better on most applications and you don't need an aftermarket hood....so unless you really want a scoop & 'Glass hood it would be more economical to buy the SD manifold.  :Twocents:

got the same set up in my charger except I used the victor heads as well, buy a fibre glass hood with the scoop , no hope getting under a stock hood , don't upset the purists buy f/glass or steel repop hood and cut it up , god forbid you might cut up a tattered battered up hood that's seen 40 plus years, I can't tell the difference between repop and original,
