Please help! I'm have a HELL-UVA time adjusting my kick down after a carb swap.

I'm happy with the carb, but my kick down does not have the snap that it used to from the old system. Now I get more of a "mushy" down shift rather than the crisp, head snap down shift.

I have a 383 with a 727 (console shift) and a shift kit to a 3.23 rear end.

Any advice is welcomed!!

If the new carb is an aftermarket Carter/Edelbrock or Holley, you'll need the Mopar throttle lever extension to make the TP linkage work correctly. The Holley is #20-7 and the Carter/Edelbrock is #1481.

If you swapped from a 2-barrel to a 4-barrel you'll need to extend the top rod.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
