Usually I can get where someone is coming from......to each his own, etc.

Never will understand, why anyone, thinks this type looks good on anything.

73rallye440magnum

I agree. But wheel and tire combo is about the easiest thing to change on a build.  :Twocents:

Many of you seemed to enjoy ridiculing this beauty. I think this one is much better looking than the orange one.

I don't remember seeing a thread about this before.  :shruggy:

It could be real, i know they're kits to make new corvettes look like vettes from the fifties or sixties, i never heard of anything like that for challengers/chargers, but.. still a chance it's photoshop  :'(

MRCHARGER

If you can dream it, you can build it. Gotta have deep pockets too. I'd love to have one, must have sunroof.

Cooperman

I like it enough that if I had the raw material I'd build it. Not too many wrecked Challengers here in England yet though...

I'd like to see the rear end treatment. My only reservation is the token '68 marker lights. They don't work with painted bumpers, late model door handles and frameless windows. IMO of course!

seriously if dodge made that there sales would be nuts ...thats bad ass ! thats what they should have built insted of the 4 dr charger family cruzer !

Honestly, I don't like a classic Chargers modernized rather than modern Charger retrofited

If indeed this thing was built on a Challenger "LX" platform, then 15" tires/wheel will look tarded. Ever see one of those Drag Challengers? Looks like an oversized roller skate with those 15" wheels. Big Cars need BIG wheels to look right.

They did this same thing withe the newer bodystyle mustang by grafting on what appeared to be a 1969-70 Mach I body. Looks right with later wheels.

The wheels on the red Charger & even the blue Charger rendition look totally proportionate.
Perhaps the rubber band reference is to the black Charger?? Those don't look so hot, IMHO.

yea...that's what I meant..was the black Charger's rubber band tires

I don't see why they took the vent windows out of that black charger.  That makes a second generation look like pure shit IMO.  Oh well. Everybody has their preference!

Well, yeah, as long as the braeks aren't the size of Texas...... (that's the only thing keeping me from putting smaller wheels/bigger sidewalls on my '11 challenger, I'd have to downgrade the breaks, which would cause warranty issues...)

Why would you retrofit a '74?.......    :yesnod:   :icon_smile_big:

...... Big Cars need BIG wheels to look right......

My '69 charger is bigger than my '11 challenger and it looks great with 15 or 16 inch wheels and lots of sidewall.  The only thing stopping me from changing wheels/tires is the brakes being so darn big.....

I'm not referring to the overall length...I'm referring to those HUGE fender well openings. Your Charger has nothing on those HUGE 2011 Challenger wheelwells.

Does anyone else have any more pictures of this car? I'd really like to know more about it.

Baldwinvette77

i'm not sure if it's even real yet, if it was, i'm sure it would have been in numerous magazines by now, and at least sitting in front of a bigger house than that.  :'(

Fred

Well when they get real.......I'll have one too.  Make mine black.  :icon_smile_big:

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Dunno If I wrotte it right, but just in case I preffer to see a modern Charger with a Classic retrofit... but REAL CHARGERS with new adds to make it look modern is not my taste definitelly!
