Hi!

After looking on earlier questions about the bellhouse bolts for a 440 to a 727 i still dont get it.
I have the four upper correct bolts.
But the ones holding the starter i dont know anything about. Is one of them  a stud / nut?

The transmission attaches to the block with 3/8"-16 X 1 1/4" bolts at the top and 7/16"-14 X 1 3/4" at the bottom...regular grade 5 bolts will do. The factory bolts have captive washers.

The starter attaches with a 7/16"-14 X 1 1/4" bolt at the top and a stud/nut at the bottom. The stud is 7/16"-14 at the case end and 7/16"-20 at the nut end; overall length of the stud is 2".

The cooler line bracket attaches under the starter nut on the bottom.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

OK thanks
Does anyone know where to buy these?
Also the bolts holding the valve covers?
Are the oilpan bolts on a 440 the same size as the valvover bolts?

The valve cover bolts are 1/4"-20 X 5/8" and the oil pan bolts are 5/16"-18 X 3/4" except for the two rearmost which are only 1/2" long.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Thanks!

THey seems to have all those bolts.
but i wonder if the two lower bolts in the kit are a little longer than the four in the top?
Also found the starter bolts, seems that the bolt there was 7/16-14 x 1 1/2 5/8 instead of 7/16"-14 X 1 1/4
mabey ok after all?
