Column Shift Lever

I am collecting parts to put the column shift back on a 1968 Charger R/T 440 and considering adding power steering.

The column looks original (color matches the interior) and still has the PRND21 on it but I noticed the lever in the engine bay that should stick out of the column to control the shift linkage is missing.

Is this lever something I can get separately and attach to my existing column or do I need to buy a complete column that already has it?

Also the car is currently manual steering. I am not sure if that is original or not since it is not on the fender tag. Would I need a new column anyway for the power steering or just something like a new coupler?

The picture of the column out is for reference (not my car) and the other two pictures are my car.

Thanks!

That lever that controls the shift linkage is part of a tube that runs inside the column up to the shift lever if I remember correctly. Not an easy bolt on part if that is what you mean? that piece is also not reproduced that I have seen. The actual steering shaft is different length between the power steering vs non.

I have the parts left over from the 4 spd swap in my '69. I can't tell if the shift shaft tab is welded or pressed on, but I wouldn't want to risk damaging it trying to remove it.

The steering shaft is for power steering. Let me know if you need anything. I'm guessing the parts are the same from '68 to '69.

I can't help with parts knowledge off the top of my head,
but if any specific Pics of a column shift '69 R/T with power steering will help as you move forward ? let me know and I'll get you some.
Mine's original UNtouched/UN-restored so maybe a good reference for what you are trying to do (convert back to column from a 4 spd).

I found these pics on my hard drive.  Three pictures of all the parts needed for a 3 speed power steering column shift on a 69.

Thank you all, these pictures are great. Yes, if anyone has the parts laying around that they do not need, I would be interested. I at least need the tube with the lever on it and possibly the power steering shaft.
