Which 5.7 to use in 69 charger?

Looking for used 5.7 to install in a 69 charger.  Not sure if those with Vvt or Mdt (variable valve timing and multi displacement technology) are useable?  Any info is appreciated.

buy the newest you can afford and try to get tranny also with ECU/M and wiring. Though there are aftermarket kits for wiring and ECU. As far as VVT and MVT, that depends on the ECU you get to me, unless you go carb

I DO NOT recommend the engines you listed above. Mainly because of what I've seen go wrong with those MDT engines. Drive by wire isn't all that either.
The "Truck" 5.7 seems to be a little easier due to the Serp belt routing/location of accessories. (A/C on bottom).
Trick? Yes, but troublesome.
