Trunk question

The actual lock on the trunk is missing, its just a whole there, it seems to be locked, but its not fully closed if you know what I mean, How can I open it?, Also the car has had a bit of a bump in the rear too.

If you look into the hole, you'll see a slot.  Insert a straight screwdriver and turn it.
