The Wilhelm Scream

I had not heard of this stock audio track before but I get a kick out of the little inside jokes and stuff that is snuck in on us, be it in films, cartoons, posters, etc. Think of Rocky and Bullwinkle or the Police Squad tv series, multiple year Chargers used in DMCL, Vanishing Point featuring a 1970 Challenger while a 1971 model appears on that film's poster...

I came upon this scream while viewing youtube videos of Jack, The Giant Killer which I had seen as a kid last century; I had last weekend gone to see the new release, Jack The Giant Slayer and was trying to rekindle any memories of the old Disney release.

From there listed in the related videos I viewed the Ray Harryhausen skeleton sequence of Jason and the Argonauts as it seemed a likely part in that film for it to be inserted and, yep, a Wilhelm Scream (at the 2:12 mark)...

Once you hear it, you can't unhear it.  I've heard it in 3 or 4 trailers for movies coming out this year.
