Is $90 the normal price for a set of trim clips/retainers for the grille trim?  I find that somewhat crazy for a handful of speed nuts and clips.  Thinking about making my own...

That's whacked! I'll see if I can find a link for ya.  :scratchchin:

Wait until what you need is only available NOS, you'll pay triple that for a friggin' bolt.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Dunno what year your car is, but Gunslinger has clips for a 68 at $55 plus shipping.  If you have a 69, you'll have to reuse the clips behind the I beam.

Just have to shop around a little bit :2thumbs:

It is a 69.  That is a little better, but I found a local place that has a lot of odd fasteners.  They have various trim clips and stuff that would probably work.  They had a plastic clip for GM that appears to be the right width for the trim.  I would just need a small bolt/screw to hold it in place.  I took the measurements, but need to pull out my trim to see if they mate up.  All said and done would put me at $22.

Two years later, the price is still ridiculous!  I need a set of these clips but... damn! :eek2:

New grille:  $1000
New trim: $300
New trim clips:$85

Why can't I just be happy with Fraud Rustang or Chebby Dramaro!?  :brickwall:

For those who might need them in the future...cheapest I could find:
